Why I Got Started
I didn’t feel good. I’d been an athlete my whole life, but some injuries kept me out of the gym and sedentary. I had some weight I didn’t need, especially at 61. It was time to get back in the game. Looking in the mirror convinced me.
How I Did It
I follow the Élancé Weight Management System with a coach. I prepared by tossing out all the food I shouldn’t be eating so I wouldn’t reach for it. Then I went to the store to shop for what I should eat. I also joined a gym that same day. I exercise with light weights and lots of reps.
A key component of success is knowing what to eat, how much to eat and when to eat it. The Élancé Weight Management System is built around real food and complete nutritional support. Other programs offer pre-packaged food with very little nutritional value, which leads to cravings for junk food. The reason people crave sugar and starchy foods is because they’re nutritionally deficient.
Staying well-hydrated is important. I’m constantly drinking water or green tea. I also carry Petit Chocolat with me so I never get hungry.
I’ve dropped 40 pounds, with 7 left to go to reach my goal of 180 pounds. Try walking around with a 40 pound weight everywhere you go. Then put it down. Now you know how great I feel.
